Previous: Setting System Parameters
The parameters set in this block are for both the Equalizer/Detector
and general channel parameters.
- This is the maximum value of the
channel length in terms of chips, . For example, if the channel length is
10 and fractional chip rate has been chosen, there will be 20
fractionally spaced channel taps.
- If, for some reason, you would like the users
to all have the same channel, you can toggle this switch on.
- This pulldown menu contains options for a
synchronous system, bit asynchronous, and chip asynchronous system.
The difference between these implementations is described in chapter
2.
- The length of the equalizer in integer
number of chips. For example, an equalizer length of 62 will produce
a 124 tap equalizer in a fractionally () spaced implementation.
- Choose either a Baud Spaced Equalizer or a
Fractionally () Spaced Equalizer implementation.
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio. The noise power is relative to
the average power of the in-cell users, which is fixed at 0 dB.
- Excess frequency bandwidth of the received
signal determined by the pulse shaping filter. Valid range 0<excess bandwidth<1.
