In order to make the software upgradeable, I chose to use a formatted directory structure. Each implementation of a linear detector has it's own directory which contains five graphical files and any number of support files specific to that implementation. To add a new detector to the software package, you simply need to follow the structure of the five graphics files. A description of the m-files is provided in section B.1.
