DTV Channel Characterization

Abstract
This paper describes a database of measured terrestrial Digital
Television (DTV) channels to be made available on the web to stimulate
research in the improvement of future DTV receivers. Features that are
likely to impact the capability and design of 8-VSB HDTV receivers are
studies by processing the data. Frequency and time-domain channel
models depicting these features are provided and their implications on
the design of 8-VSB receivers is discussed.
